The Angelicoussis Group has ordered another two Suezmax tankers at Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME).

DSME said on 18 May that Angelicoussis had ordered two 156,000 dwt oil tankers, adding to its outstanding orders at South Korea’s third biggest shipbuilder.

The contract was signed in Athens, just a month after Angelicoussis ordered two 319,000 dwt VLCCs at DSME.

IHS Maritime‘s Sea-web.com data show the Greek company already has six VLCCs and four Suezmax tankers on order at DSME.

The ships, to be constructed in DSME‘s Okpo yard in South Korea, will have dimensions of 274 m in length, 48 m in width, and 23.7 m in depth.

DSME said that with the two new orders, Angelicoussis has ordered 82 ships from it since 1994.

The latest order also takes the value of DSME‘s year-to-date new orders to USD1.72 billion, but the builder would not disclose the value of the ships that Angelicoussis just ordered.
